Merry Christmas 12-2017

Hello everyone!

It's been a few months since we posted. Sorry, it's been a crazy time.

First, we decided to stay with our current school in China. Why? 1) We are here already. Like the saying goes, "the devil you know..." 2) They did give us a competitive second year contract.  Not everything we wanted, but in the end it was a win-win. And 3) Transferring the Z visa seemed like a big process full of what if possibilities.  What if it doesn't go through, what if the new school does it too late, what if ...

Second update, we will be flying home February 1-February 17, leaving again for China bright and early on the 18th. We are looking forward to seeing family and eating all that processed sugary foods we grew up with! The chocolate tastes different here. There isn't twizzler or tootsie rolls in the stores. Forget about cheeze its. We will definitely stock up.

Third, our school had its 2017 Appreciation Night.  The foreign teachers did a short Robin Hood play, and we got to participate in the TianNing students Jingle Bells performance.  Matt was Santa and Kris was a reindeer.  It was super fun. The kids love to hug you and take photos. We did a nice post on FB with photos. Check it out!

Fourth, in general, we are looking forward to 2018. We got a new apartment in China. It has a nice bathroom and kitchen. Plus, it's close to the train station.  And close to our gym so #noexcuses . We are looking into buying an Ebike or some might know it as a moped or scooter. With another year here, it will make life easier and more enjoyable. We bought an oven. OMG! Bacon tastes so much better baked than fried.

We miss you all! We do check out Facebook to see your updates and photos. Aunt Annie with their new pooch. Nikki and Neil having a great Halloween with the kids in their new home. Ashley becoming a Delivery Manager at ADP! Congrats by the way.

Until the next post, tweet or status update. Keep it real :) hahah
