2017 to 2018 - Happy New Year
Hello friends, family, passerby’s, and maybe even stalkers!! It is officially 2018. Year of the dog. Wow. Can you believe another year is gone. Another chapter in history is written.
Our New Years Eve was good. Not great. Number one, Kris is recovering from left lobe pneumonia. She went to the hospital on Christmas Day. And, Upton Bowling Alley wasn’t as fun as we hoped. They time capped the bowling lanes, the beer had too much head, and the bar staff were slow and rude. You couldn’t even get water from them. #uptownalleysucks
We did have an awesome home taco night with our friend, Cody K. He’s moving back to the States in February. Boo hoo! #wewillmissyou
What does 2018 hold? Well, I could say we must wait and find out. But, nah. I will share our plans. You didn’t come to read our blog to be left wondering, right?
We made some really nice Chinese friends. They are English teachers at our school. They’ve become like family to us. In 2018, we hope to strengthen that friendship. Maybe be able to hang out together sometime. Cheers to Lucy, Nico, Zoe, Vivien, and Chris!
We are in save mode. The goal for 2018 is to save around 100,000 RMB. Use a translator to figure out how much USD if you really want to know. Yes, it’s a huge amount. But in early 2019, we want to go on a 3 month tour through Europe....see Prague, see Italy and Spain, maybe even Iceland. And then come back to the States....come back to home in early 2019.
Say a prayer we can stick to our budget. We can have the fortitude to plow through 2018 with no trips. Thinking back real quick, Langkawai and Jeju were quiet fun! What does the New Year hold for you? Stop saying lose 5 pounds or eat healthy. Think bigger, think better. Find your inner dog and go for something big—-happiness.
May you find happiness in 2018. Thanks for reading and following us! We love you.
