Malaysia Trip Day 1-3, July 2017

Hello! One sentence about our trip: We loved it!

Monday July 17- Travel day.  We flew from Changzhou Airport to Shenzen then to Kuala Lumpur.  Our first flight was delayed which sucked.  Chanhzhou is not an airport you can have fun in.  However, they did feed us a free lunch. The 3 hour flight to Shenzen included an airline meal too. That was probably the highlight of travel day.

Getting into Kuala Lumpur at 9p meant there wasn't much for us to do. After all, our bedtime is 10-11p. The taxi queue is an interesting idea in Malaysia.  We did quickly realized Uber is way cheaper though.

We stayed at Orange Hotel in Kota Warison which is about 15-20 min from the airport. It was only a 2 star hotel with no window in our room, but the AC worked great!

Day 2- Touring Kuala Lumpur day. It was so hot outside! But, most places did have the AC on artic which was refreshing. The Malaysians know how to use the AC compared to Chinese.

We went to Central Market and Petaling Street.  We learned how to use the FREE city business. That was great! We drove passed the Petronas Tours. It didn't look special enough to get out if the comfy AC bus to visit.

Day 3-Langkwai day! Of course our flight out of KL was delayed an hour. Kristin is use to travel delays. We arrived around noon and went straight to the hotel.  The island had the same type of taxi queuing system. I could get use to that.  China- maybe you can learn something from this country!!

We got checked in swiftly.  They gave us a free drink ticket.  First thing we did, beach time!

1 week til Jeju South Korea

Hello friends and family! We have a 4 day vacation coming up. We are going to Jeju Island,  South Korea. This is our first South Korea visit. Jeju is known for its beautiful scenery.  It's the place for honeymooners in Asia. We will make sure to post lots of pictures on Facebook.  Look forward to sharing our adventures more with you. Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia

Hello, We are on day 3 of vacation in Kota Kinabalu. First, we've been to Malaysia before. We went to Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi last year. That was a great trip so we decided to see the other side of Malaysia. The beaches are great. The water is clear blue. Of course, the resort is great.  Especially,  for the amount we paid for it. We've been posting photos on Wechat and Facebook, so if you are interested in those, check out those social media pages. It's off tourist season since Spring Festival is around the corner. So, it means not a lot of people. It's also jellyfish season so not a lot of people swimming in the beaches. Overall, for us, a great time to go. We walked through KK waterfront and city centre. We've seen Gaya and Sapi islands. We've seen monkeys and lizards. Even a jellyfish. Today we are going to the wildlife park to see the pygmy elephants.  Excited for this! Are they really super small? Or just like baby elephants that don't grow up?...
